Alcohol + Methylphenidate

Overview

Alcohol + Methylphenidate produces a relatively mild combination where alcohol slightly enhances the stimulating effects while the stimulant reduces some of alcohol's sedating qualities. Despite feeling manageable, the combination can encourage drinking more than intended.

My Experience

Overall Experience

This combination didn't really change much.

The alcohol slightly potentiated the methylphenidate and made it feel a bit more enjoyable, but overall it wasn't dramatically different from taking methylphenidate by itself. It remained a fairly functional stimulant, just with some mild intoxication layered over it.

Nothing particularly memorable happened, good or bad.

What I Enjoyed

  • Slightly smoother stimulation.
  • Still fairly functional.
  • Mild relaxation.

What I Didn't Enjoy

  • Not particularly interesting.
  • Easy to underestimate alcohol intake.
