Methamphetamine

Overview

Methamphetamine is a potent central nervous system stimulant belonging to the amphetamine class. It is well known for producing intense stimulation, prolonged wakefulness, elevated mood and increased confidence. Compared to amphetamine, methamphetamine generally has a longer duration of action and greater potency, allowing much smaller doses to produce pronounced effects.

Many users describe methamphetamine as producing smooth, focused stimulation with relatively little physical jitteriness at moderate doses. However, prolonged wakefulness, repeated dosing and sleep deprivation can greatly increase the likelihood of paranoia, hallucinations and other adverse effects.

The subjective effects vary depending on the route of administration. Smoking and intravenous use typically produce a much faster onset than oral or insufflated use and are often reported to have a more intense initial rush.

My Review

Overall Experience

Methamphetamine felt like an incredibly smooth and clean stimulant. Compared to amphetamine, it was noticeably less jittery and much easier to think clearly on. The stimulation was extremely enjoyable and functional, although I still found NEP to be the stronger and more stimulating of the two.

One unique thing about meth was that the stimulation felt very controlled, I felt in control the whole moment and the stimulation felt natural. It produced a very clear-headed state that was excellent for getting work done.

The biggest downside was the duration. Even after my last dose, I often had to wait around twelve hours before I could finally fall asleep. The crashes afterwards were also particularly rough, leaving me feeling completely drained for a day or more. Because of that, while I enjoyed the experience, it's not something I plan on using regularly.

What I Enjoyed

  • Extremely smooth stimulation
  • Clear-headed and functional
  • Less jittery than amphetamine
  • Very productive
  • Long-lasting effects

What I Didn't Enjoy

  • Extremely long-lasting insomnia
  • Brutal crashes and comedowns
  • Appetite suppression
  • Easy to stay awake much longer than intended

Would I Use It Again?

Tips & Harm Reduction

Practical Tips

  • Measure doses carefully with an accurate scale.
  • Plan enough time for sleep and recovery before using.
  • Eat before dosing, as appetite suppression can make it difficult to maintain proper nutrition.
  • Keep water available and take breaks during physically demanding activities.

Harm Reduction

  • Repeated redosing and prolonged wakefulness substantially increase the risk of paranoia and hallucinations.
  • Allow adequate time for sleep and recovery after use.
  • Avoid combining with other stimulants unless you understand the additional risks.
  • If injecting, use sterile equipment every time and never share needles or other injecting equipment.
