Rohypnol

Overview

Flunitrazepam (Rohypnol) is a highly potent benzodiazepine with strong sedative, hypnotic and amnesic properties. It has historically been prescribed for severe insomnia in some countries but is now tightly controlled or unavailable in many places due to its high abuse potential.

Among benzodiazepines, Rohypnol is widely regarded as one of the most potent recreationally, with relatively small doses capable of producing profound sedation and memory impairment.

My Review

Overall Experience

Despite Rohypnol's reputation as one of the strongest benzodiazepines available, it was no different from every other benzo I've tried. For reasons I don't understand, benzodiazepines simply don't produce noticeable subjective effects for me. Even Rohypnol, which many people describe as intensely sedating and amnesic, left me feeling completely sober.

There was no relaxation, no loss of coordination, no memory impairment and no noticeable sedation whatsoever.

The only time I've ever noticed any effect from benzodiazepines is when combining them with alcohol, where they somewhat potentiate the alcohol. On their own, however, even Rohypnol feels like taking nothing at all.

What I Enjoyed

  • Nothing noticeable.

What I Didn't Enjoy

  • No subjective effects.

Would I Use It Again?

No

Tips & Harm Reduction

Practical Tips

  • Rohypnol is extremely potent compared to many other benzodiazepines.
  • Even small dosing errors can produce much stronger effects than expected.
  • Never combine with alcohol or opioids.

Harm Reduction

  • Combining Rohypnol with other central nervous system depressants significantly increases the risk of respiratory depression and overdose.
  • Frequent use can rapidly lead to dependence.
  • Because memory impairment can occur, avoid situations where impaired judgment could put yourself or others at risk.
